Meet us
About CPSRK
The Student Support and Career Development Centre of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (CPSRK FOI) is the main point for connecting students with employers and the first student stop in their career development.
During the academic year, we actively collaborate with well-known companies, organise numerous career activities and provide students with professional support in their internship.
Also, we are member of Highered – no. 1 place for business and tech students to find relevant employers and job opportunities.
Benefits for students
What we are offering to students?
Our mission is to help students with their career development, help them build their CVs and support them in their entrepreneurial endeavour.
Student counselling and support during their studies
We are available for in-person or online counselling on various topics – e.g. how to approach an employer, how to write the CV, best personal presentation modes.
Organization of career events – e.g. Career Week
The biggest networking and knowledge sharing event for FOI students with 60+ companies.
Support in the implementation of the professional student internship
Finding the perfect employer, support in the implementation of the internship.
Startup@FOI
Support for FOI students and alumni in starting their entrepreneurial adventure, in collaboration with Techpark Varaždin.
Informing about career opportunities
Promoting and organising career workshops designed to raise the levels of skills needed to face the labour market.
Engaging and collaborating with employers and FOI alumni
Organization of different activities for knowledge and experience sharing and networking.
Support for student initiatives and competitions
We help students apply for and participate in different competitions, project presentations, workshops, both financially and through advice.
Benefits for employers
What we are offering to employers?
We want to build long-term partnerships with employers because we believe that together we can prepare students for the demanding labour market of today. Employers have various activities through which they can take part during the calendar year, of which we especially emphasize our Career Week – the biggest yearly career event organised by CPSRK. The Career Week allows employers to present and connect with students through numerous (in)formal activities such as panel discussions, workshops, networking, among others.
More so, we are glad to include employers in activities such as:
Internship at graduate and undergraduate level
FOI students have mandatory professional internships at the undergraduate and graduate level, and duration and level of difficulty vary according to the level of studies and scope of the internship.
Cooperation on the final thesis topics
To help students better understand the real application of academic concepts in real situations, we connect employers and teachers for collaboration through mentorship on the final and graduate thesis.
Participation in innovative ways of teaching
We connect employers with teachers and help in implementing innovative methods in the classroom – work-based learning (WBL) and work-integrated learning (WIL). Students work on specific tasks set and mentored by the company.
Invited lectures
Spreading and sharing the knowledge with students through lecture on dedicated topic, bringing the company and the experience closer to students.
Organising visits to companies
Facilitating the first-hand experience for students to witness the company’s life, business, meet employees and experience the work atmosphere inside the business premises.
Our working methods
What makes us special?
We use innovative working methods to improve our activities with employers and students, hence we have created a special CPSRK application for easier networking and connecting students and employers.
Due to our long-term and outstanding cooperation with companies, CPSRK FOI is one of 40 examples of good practice in Europe. We enjoy sharing our knowledge and experience with others through workshops, participation in conferences and mentoring other career centres at other higher education institutions in Croatia.
